Małopolska is a region with exceptional tourist potential due to its diversity of cultural, historical and natural attractions. The capital of the Małopolska Region, Krakow, is the Polish city most frequently visited by tourists, offering many interesting places, buildings and world-class monuments. Charming cities, villages and towns. Castles, manors, sanctuaries and open-air museums. Two unique salt mines and ten health resorts. Six national parks, headed by the Tatra Mountains, eleven landscape parks and over eighty nature reserves. Małopolskie Voivodeship offers also a lot of interesting cultural events that attract crowds of tourists from Poland and abroad. The tourist potential of Małopolska can be considered not only on a national, but also on a European scale. Małopolska is one of the voivodships with the greatest potential for tourism development. Tourist attractions located in the region are one of the most interesting destinations in Poland, not only for tourists from Poland, but also from abroad.

The system of regional tourist information is a perfect tool and complement to the promotional activities of the Małopolska Region, but also of Poland (promotional activities carried out by the Polish Tourism Organisation both on the domestic market, and, in particular, on the foreign market). The idea of the planned promotional activities is to present MSIT as a modern platform for creating tourist traffic, as well as a professional tool to promote the tourist offer of the Małopolska Region.
